Air pollution indeed interacts with cloud-forming mechanisms. I wonder .. if we continue to pollute the world at the rate we do, will we lose rain eventually? Or would rain transform into hurricanes and typhoons ?

Well, think again. Our world is rich of natural resources, if the other one doesn't worked, pretty sure there's a lot of other diversities that we can used rather facing the possibilities of a dreadful problem on the next year to follow.

That amy be true, UNLESS we consider ALL the sources of biofuels, not just the ones controlled by Monsanto, ConAgra, and the like. There's a reason the Bush administration backed a weak horse like ethanol: derived from corn grown by major corporations that lobbied him for it.

Some of the most potential for biofuels actually comes from farmed algae. The technology hasn't been perfected, as many sceptics are quick to point out, but if 1/10000 of the budget spent on exploration and development of oil fields were directed that way, I doubt it would be a year before we have all the biofuels we need.

Get informed. Know all the facts before summarily dismissing a good idea.

The UN is wrong. Using 5% of unusable farmland planted in Industrial Hemp would supply all of the U.S. transport needs.
40% of unusable farmland planted=U.S is the new "Saudia Arabia"

I used to be a big supporter of biofuels, but after doing research on my own, I came to realize that they were nothing but a political scam. It takes just as much fossil fuels to produce the same amount of biofuels. However, if more research is done, perhaps it can still be a viable soruce of alternative energy.
